DRIVERS travelling northbound on the A590 are being warned to expect length queues as cars pile up due to roadworks.
Motorists are reporting queues on the A590 as far back as Hill Foot Garden Centre on the outskirts of the town.
Traffic is also thought to be queuing up on the northbound carriageway from Tank Square roundabout.
The delays are being caused by a four-way traffic lights system which has been installed while roadworks are carried out in Quebec Street.
Already this week, some drivers have reported delays of up to 90 minutes to get westbound into the town centre with some saying it has taken half an hour to travel from one end of Ulverston to the other.
