BANNERS have sprung up throughout a South Cumbrian town signalling the start of its festival season.
The Ulverston Flag Fortnight has got the town in a flutter after a rainbow of flags sprung up through the town.
Businesses, shops and local landmarks throughout the town now have their own flag, decorated with emblems that express what they do.
A cactus flies high above Amigos Mexican restaurant, and two silver fish flutter in the breeze above Ulverston institution, the Chippy Bank.
