A COUNCIL has won a prestigious award for its parking services.
South Lakeland District Council was named the winner of the Best Concise Report at the Patrol Parc Awards, in a ceremony held at the Houses of Parliament and hosted by David Rutley MP.
Councillor Graham Vincent, SLDC's economy portfolio holder, said:"The council has sought to improve its parking offer over recent years and to be much more flexible and transparent when dealing with users and also in the information it publicises.
"This award is recognition of the hard work from the whole parking services team at South Lakeland District Council."
Patrol’s annual awards ceremony recognises the local authorities which have published the best reports on their parking services, as part of their civil enforcement reporting.
The Concise Report Award is based on a council’s ability to deliver necessary and pertinent information in a succinct and effective way.
