IT'S showtime in Cumbria and the North West Evening Mail brings you a full guide to today's Cartmel Show.
Cartmel Show is the summer extravaganza for farming fanatics and countryside lovers and there's a whole host of treats for all the family at this year's event.

Main Ring attractions begin at 12pm and include:
- Vale of Lune Harriers
- Hest Bank Dog Agility Team
- Show jumping
- Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling - participants should be ready at 1.30pm.
- The parade on traditional machines will begin at 2.20pm
- Grand Parade takes place at 2.30pm.
Show highlights
This year's show is set to be bigger and better than ever with a host of new showstopping highlights and firm family favourites.
Highlights include:
- Record number of sheep with more than 400 entries
- First year for Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling
- Re-siting of poultry tent
- Crafts tent is bigger than ever before with 1084 entries
- Food hall has also got bigger and is packed with Cumbria's top food and drink producers.
Cartmel Racecourse has its own designated parking areas that will provide free parking for show day.
Regular train services stop at both Cark-in-Cartmel and Grange-over-Sands.
Normal bus services will then run from Cark-in-Cartmel, Grange and Kendal.
Cartmel Show is home to a number of stands offering a variety of different types of food.
From chicken nuggets to Cumberland sausages or even a proper sit-down meal, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this year's event.
There is also a public bar on site.
- Bucking bronco - Young Farmers Clubs across the area have been challenged to see who can stay on the longest.
- Graffiti wall - The introduction of the graffiti wall at this year's event will see children channeling their artistic side in a more modern way.
- Spot the sheep - organisers have arranged a competition for the younger crowd members with the spot the coloured sheep competition. Children will have to count how many different coloured sheep they can find and there will be a prize for the winner. Watch out for the odd scarecrow as well!
