SOPHIE, the Countess of Wessex, the royal president of Westmorland County Show, is making a two-day visit to the showground next month.
As well as attending the show itself at Crooklands on Thursday September 13, she will be joining the stewards' supper the previous evening.
HRH Sophie Wessex, 53, is following in the footsteps of her brother-in-law, the Prince of Wales, who attended last year's show. She was present at the annual meeting in February when she was elected president.
This will be the 219th show, which was judged Cumbria's tourism event of the year in June.
