A BARROW man convicted of trying to murder his girlfriend is set to be sentenced.
Mark Rigby, 45, also known as Damian Noonan, pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Kelly Ann Wood at Preston Crown Court in February. The incident took place in Barrow on October 28 of last year.
Rigby, of Egerton Court, appeared at Preston Crown Court yesterday for a hearing and is due to be sentenced at the same court on June 6.
