A MAN has denied GBH and stealing worth £1,600 in Barrow.
Kevin Lee Hodgson, 40, appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The defendant, of Percy Park Road, Tynemouth, is alleged to have inflicted grievous bodily harm without intent on Nicola Jayne Mills on May 18 in Barrow.
He is also accused of assaulting the same woman on the same date and stealing two rings, worth £1,600, between October 1, last year and March 1.
The defendant was represented in court by defence solicitor Mr Andrew Gallagher. The case will next be heard at Preston Crown Court on August 26.
