SOON McDonald's, Pizza Express and other top food chains could be forced to cut down on their portion sizes to tackle growing numbers of obesity.
In a meeting held yesterday with more than 100 food and beverage companies, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt told bosses to step up and reduce sugar in desserts, cakes and other goods.
Public Health England have promised to make this a priority and Mr Hunt said that action would be taken now that eating out is no longer a treat.
