A MAN from Barrow has been handed two seven-year restraining orders after pleading guilty to harassment.
Michael David John Armstrong appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday. The 47-year-old, of Broad Close in Barrow, pleaded guilty to harassment.
Armstrong admitted conducting a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of Claire and Darren Stainton in Barrow between July 9 and August 22 of this year.
He pleaded guilty to sending a number of text messages, making a number of phone calls and making posts on Facebook.
Armstrong was given two seven-year restraining orders, banning him from contacting either of his two victims. The restraining orders will be in place until October 6, 2023.
He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
