A SEARCH of Twitter reveals a host of posts criticising Barrow as a "depressing town" which one user claims is "the most horrible place" he has ever been to.
Just last night, a number of posts were made by people slagging off Barrow, calling the town depressing and comparing it to Bridgend.
One user, @Gravenall94, said: "Gotta work in Barrow in Furness the rest of the week it's possibly the most horrible place i have ever been to I hate the place."
Another called Ben McMylor, @benmcmylor, said: "I now have to get the "Blackpool North and Barrow-in-Furness" train home. I dare you to find a more depressing route. #ColdOutside"
Lee Thomas @Leee_Thomas posted: "Never thought I'd find a town to rival Bridgend! I have, Barrow in Furness!"
The Evening Mail is calling on readers to tell us why you love Barrow, using the #LoveBarrow hashtag, to cancel out the derogatory comments about our town.
Why do you love Barrow?
