A MAN suspected of possessing class B drugs is due to appear in court today.
Christopher Freeston, 37, of Claife Avenue, Windermere, is charged with possession of controlled class B drug amphetamine, driving while disqualified and causing criminal damage to a property under £5,000.
He is also accused of driving without third party insurance, aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop and driving while unfit through drugs.
The alleged offences are said to have happened on August 10 in Millom.
It is alleged Freeston was driving a Ford Focus in Holborn Hill while disqualified and that he damaged a police vehicle to the sum of £178.24.
Freeston is due to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court today (October 25).
