A COLLISION last night left a woman in hospital after she was hit by a car in a Barrow street.
Cumbria Police have confirmed that a 58-year-old woman was knocked over by a Citroen C3 on Thursday night, around 5.21pm.
The woman was struck by a car driven by a 60-year-old local woman at the junction of Chatsworth Street and Holker Street.
Police and paramedics were quickly at the scene to treat the woman at the roadside before an ambulance arrived.
A police spokesman said the pedestrian was taken to Furness General Hospital, her injuries being described as "minor".
No arrests have been made, but police have asked for any witnesses to the incident to contact them on 101.
