IT'S going to be windy with gales in the Irish Sea.
TODAY: The main feature of today's weather will be the wind. It will be windy everywhere, with gales on the Cumbrian coast. However, the wind will be relatively warm and there will be plenty of sunny spells during the day. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
TONIGHT: The south of the region will cloud over in the evening with light rain possible overnight. Further north, there will be some late brightness and less chance of overnight rain. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
MONDAY: Southern parts of the region will be rather cloudy, perhaps with light rain over the hills. Further north, there is more chance of it staying drier, brighter and warmer. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
TUESDAY TO THURSDAY: Tuesday will be warm, sunny and mostly dry, though a few showers may affect the south. Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be dry, sunny and warm, but increasingly breezy.
