A BARROW supermarket is getting its first facelift since it was built 16 years ago.
Morrisons built its Barrow store in 2002 at a cost of £10m, creating 350 jobs at the time.
The retailer has now submitted plans to Barrow Borough Council to replace all the existing signs at the store and petrol station to upgrade to its new branding.
The store's main entrance, as well as the car wash, petrol station and fuel prices sign, will all move away from the distinctive yellow branding to a more modern appearance.
Barrow Borough Council is due to make a decision on the application by July 26.
