A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital after a crash in Michaelson Road, Barrow, this afternoon.
The road was closed for over an hour as paramedics treated the 22-year-old man, before he was taken to Furness General Hospital.
Cumbria police described his injuries as serious, but not life-threatening.
His black and green motorbike collided with a red VW Golf. The driver of the car was not injured.
The two-vehicle crash is understood to have happened at around 12.30pm today.
The road was closed by police while paramedics were in attendance but the road reopened as of around 1.50pm.
