Barrow rapist jailed for eight years
A MAN who raped and sexually assaulted a young girl has been jailed.
Damian Michael Eccles, of Egerton Court in Barrow, had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of raping a girl under 13, sexually assaulting a girl under 13 and raping a woman.
The offences happened in 2016.
Today at Burnley Crown Court, 34-year-old Eccles was jailed for a total of eight years, with a further 12 months on licence.
He was also given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offender register for life.
