AUSTRALIAN actor and singer Jason Donovan is set to go on stage in Barrow.
The star, of Neighbours fame, is set to appear at The Forum where he will regale the audience with stories from his career as well as performing some of his hit songs.
Donovan has announced the Barrow date for his Amazing Midlife Crisis Tour which has been described as "an intimate evening to see him like you’ve never seen him before".
Celebrating his 50th birthday and with a wealth of tantalising tales under his belt, this autobiographical show will zigzag back and forth through his life, with stories about Neighbours , Ten Good Reasons, Kylie, Joseph, I'm A Celebrity , and Strictly Come Dancing .
Donovan initially achieved fame in the Australian soap
Neighbours
where he stayed for three years before beginning a career in music in 1988.
The story of his character, Scott Robinson, included an onscreen romance and wedding to Charlene Mitchell played by Kylie Minogue, and helped boost the show's popularity with British as well as Australian audiences.
In the UK he has sold over three million records and has had four UK No. 1 singles, one of which was Especially for You , his 1988 duet with Neighbours co-star Kylie Minogue.
He has also appeared in several stage musicals, most prominently in the lead role of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the early 1990s. Donovan was born in Australia but now lives in London.
Tickets for the show at The Forum, on Saturday March 30, cost £26 including a booking fee.
