THE Lake District has been named one of the best places for a special staycation in the UK.
Travellers are opting for weekend breaks centred on group games and strategy, many of which are inspired by the BBC hit show The Traitors.
Research from Parkdean Resorts reveals that more than half (53 per cent) of Brits have already taken a trip where board games were the main activity, and 65 per cent are considering one this autumn.
The Lake District has emerged as one of the top destinations for these immersive getaways, offering scenic settings, spacious accommodation, and a cosy atmosphere ideal for gameplay.
