A new lifestyle shop has earned a string of five-star reviews just weeks after opening.

Fell & Fold, based on Lake Road in Bowness-on-Windermere, has quickly impressed customers with its calm, contemporary atmosphere and thoughtful design.

Reviewers have described it as a place that must be experienced in person.

The shop is run by Stewart Hart and Dan Barber, who said the vision behind the shop was about more than just retail.

The duo said: "It’s all about atmosphere.

"Colours, textures, how things are displayed — it all matters.

"People walk in and say it feels different straight away."

Every element in the store is carefully curated to create a welcoming environment that feels more like a home than a traditional shop.

Product selection is based not only on quality but also on how each item fits within the overall aesthetic.

The shop’s modern, Scandinavian-inspired style is paired with what owners describe as 'lake district soul', offering a fresh take on shopping in the area.

Visitors and locals alike have commented that there is nothing else quite like Fell & Fold in Windermere or Bowness.

Mr Hart is responsible for the visual design of the shop, including displays, colour schemes, and the overall look and feel.

Mr Barber manages the day-to-day operations and customer experience, ensuring the space remains friendly and welcoming.

They are supported by Keira, who works in the shop and leads its social media presence.

She helps the team connect with customers online using the same clean, modern style found in store.

While the physical shop is designed to be enjoyed in person, Fell & Fold also offers an online store.

The digital experience mirrors the in-store atmosphere, allowing customers to browse and purchase products from anywhere.

Stock is refreshed throughout the year, and displays are updated seasonally to keep the space feeling new and inviting.

The shop has quickly become a popular stop for visitors to the area.

Whether shoppers are looking for gifts, homeware, or simply a pleasant place to explore, Fell & Fold is designed to encourage people to slow down and enjoy the experience.
