A newly opened arcade in Barrow town centre will be hosting a 24-hour gaming marathon next month to support three 'brilliant' charities.
The challenge will take place from 8am on October 26 to raise money for Andy's Man Club, the Tigerlily Trust, and the North West Ambulance Charity.
It is happening at the South Lakes Game Exchange and Level Up Arcade and 1Up Cafe which sit next to each other on Duke Street, with the latter having opened its doors on August 7.
Owner Scott Geldart said: "Four of us are taking on 24 hours of non-stop gaming at South Lakes Games and we're doing it to raise as much money as possible for three brilliant charities.
"You'll be able to come down and watch us in person or follow the chaos live on social media throughout the full 24 hours.
"Every donation adds up, and we'd absolutely love to smash our target and make staying awake for 24 hours worth it."
A goal of £2,000 has currently been set with donations being accepted at the page here.
The new branch of South Lakes Game Exchange opened in April and has been complemented by the arrival of the arcade last month.
Kris Spiers, who will also be taking part in the fundraiser, commented: "The challenge will see us gaming continuously for 24 hours, testing our endurance, teamwork and determination.
"Anyone local is also welcome to come along to the arcade in Barrow and cheer us on in person.
"These charities all do incredible work, whether that's supporting ambulance staff and volunteers, promoting men's mental health and suicide prevention, or helping families affected by baby loss and neonatal bereavement - we want to do our bit to support the difference they make every day."
