Family favourites and animated adventures are heading to the big screen this summer holiday at Vue Barrow.
The cinema is promising a summer packed with family entertainment, launching its new Summer Family Passport Book, which rewards children for repeat visits to the cinema with stamps.
Children can fill their passport books with each visit and share photos on a dedicated Vue Facebook post for a chance to win a £25 Vue gift card.

This summer’s line-up features a full slate of family favourites as part of Vue’s Mighty Mornings and Big Shorts screenings, designed specifically for younger audiences.
Toy Story 5, the latest instalment in the beloved Pixar franchise, returns to screens with Buzz, Woody and friends facing new challenges after Bonnie is given a tablet.
The gang must navigate a world where technology threatens to overshadow playtime.
Also available at Vue are Ultra Lux seats, offering cinema-goers extra comfort.
The Ultra Lux experience includes spacious seating, personal tables for snacks and drinks, and a state-of-the-art wine cooler for a touch of luxury.
For fans of animated mischief, Minions & Monsters brings the iconic Despicable Me henchmen back for more chaos as they take on Hollywood and inadvertently unleash a wave of monsters.
Other popular releases over the holidays include Disney’s live-action Moana, Spider-Man: Brand New Day launching 29 July, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie launching 7 August.
Vue is also offering discounted kids’ tickets through the Great British Summer Savings scheme, making trips to the cinema more affordable for families.
Mighty Mornings screenings will take place daily during the school holidays, featuring a selection of recent family films at just £2.49 per ticket when booked online.
Titles include The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, The Magic Faraway Tree, and The Sheep Detectives.
Big Shorts is another series designed for younger viewers, specifically children aged one to four.
These relaxed screenings feature dimmed lighting to create a gentle cinema experience.
This season, children can enjoy Talking Tom Superheroes: Suddenly Super on the big screen.
The focus on shared viewing comes as new research from University College London (UCL), conducted in partnership with Vue, highlights the emotional benefits of seeing films together in a cinema.
The study found that watching movies on the big screen significantly boosted mood, recall, and attention compared to watching at home.
Cinemagoers reported a mood lift five times greater than those watching at home, and 92 per cent identified the same scene as the most memorable moment, compared to 47 per cent in the home setting.
The research also showed that the cinema experience felt 36 per cent more intense and 32 per cent more positive, thanks to the immersive sound, visuals, and collective atmosphere.
