Two young golfers from Barrow Golf Club have earned a place in a world golf championship.
Junior members Daniel Wright, 11, and Florence Martindale, 10, competed against 120 players from across the country in The Ping Junior Golf Tour at Silloth on Solway on Saturday, June 20.
Both golfers won their respective categories and earned a place in the Champions of Champions World Championship, set to take place at Lough Erne in Ireland from July 20 to 22 next year.
Florence has previously competed in the international event and will be competing again this year from July 21 to 23, making next year her third appearance.
A spokesperson for the golf club said: "Competing at this level obviously does cost a lot of money so if anyone would like to sponsor either of our juniors for next years competition please contact Hannah Prentice, junior fundraiser, on 07975807281."
