A climate change film screening and public discussion are set to take place at the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston next month.
The event, scheduled to take place on Friday, April 17, will present the 45-minute film titled the 'National Emergency Briefing'.
The film features contributions from 10 experts.
Organisers said: "Join us to watch a 45-minute film with the latest facts from ten experts at the Laurel and Hardy Museum at 7pm on Friday, April 17th. Afterwards we'll talk about what we can do about it."
"The film is based on a briefing to MPs.
"We think there should be a briefing to the nation - on television."
The programme was screened last November at Westminster Central Hall for more than 1,200 MPs, peers and representatives from business, culture, faith, sport and the media.
