Film lovers enjoy exclusive screening at refurbished Vue Barrow

Lucky winners watched the highly anticipated heist thriller Crime 101.

Vue’s general manager Rhys Boyle said: “It was wonderful to welcome our competition winners and show them just how much Vue Barrow has transformed.

“From enjoying some exclusive treats and watching Crime 101 to experiencing our new Ultra Lux and Lux seating and Laser by Barco technology, we hope the evening gave them a taste of the next generation of big screen entertainment and we’re really excited to offer the residents of Barrow a fresh, immersive way to enjoy films.”

A total of 20 winners, each with a guest, enjoyed prime seating, canapés, drinks and exclusive goody bags as they watched Crime 101 on the big screen.

The venue now features state-of-the-art Laser by Barco projection systems and upgraded seating.

Among the standout upgrades is Vue Your Way, a streamlined, self-service model.

Guests can now choose customisable snack combos, complete purchases at self-checkouts, and scan tickets to enter the screens—supported by staff as needed.

Seating has been significantly upgraded throughout the cinema.

The venue now boasts 108 Lux recliners and 42 Ultra Lux seats—Vue’s largest and comfiest seats yet.

Ultra Lux chairs feature extra-wide armrests, personal tables for snacks and drinks, a beverage cooler, and back and leg rests that recline independently, ensuring maximum comfort.

The new seating options have been designed to offer an immersive and highly comfortable movie-going experience for all.

Each screen at Vue Barrow now also features Laser by Barco projection technology, delivering sharper images, deeper contrast, and richer colours for a more vibrant cinematic experience.

Tickets are available starting from £4.99 for standard entry.

Lux seats start at £6.99, while Ultra Lux seats are £9.99.
