Drivers in Barrow are being warned of delays today as BAE Systems prepares to move a heavy load through the town.

The operation is set to take place this morning (Sunday, December 14) and will temporarily affect Michaelson Road and Bridge Road on Barrow Island.

Police will be putting rolling roadblocks in place.

A spokesperson for BAE said: "BAE Systems is due to move a heavy load by road on the morning of Sunday, December 14.

"It will involve delays to Michaelson Road and Bridge Road on Barrow Island for approximately one hour, with police providing rolling roadblocks."
