A NEW sports bar looks set to open in Barrow town centre.
Sidelines is due to open on Abbey Road, according to signs on the unit.
The new business describes itself as 'the only dedicated sports bar in the area' and promises 4K TV screens and a 100 inch projector screen.
Work appears to be taking place at the site, which was formerly the MK's sports bar.
Bosses of the venue announced the closure on social media in January, saying: “The current climate has made things almost impossible with the increase in the cost of raw materials, the huge rise in the costs of heat and power, employing staff and the general costs of running a small business.
“MK’s as a business has unfortunately become unviable."
