This year's Cartmel in Bloom event has blossomed into a fundraising success following a recent donation.
The community garden party, which has grown to be a staple part of the local calendar, took place last month, celebrating what the area has to offer as well as raising money at the same time.
On Thursday, July 4, St Mary's Hospice revealed that, as a result of those efforts, they had been handed a cheque worth £750 to support their ongoing services.
A spokesperson from the charity commented: "What a bunch of legends - everyone here at St Mary's Hospice is very grateful for your 'un-be-leaf-able' support!"
Around 60 people came together for the annual event, making the most of the sunny weather.
Besides the get-together, supporting the hospice has become another yearly tradition, having donated £1000 to St Mary's Hospice in 2023.
