CUMBRIA Police are investigating a 'scam' gardener that has been operating on a Barrow housing estate.
The force has received over half a dozen reports of a gardener offering services on the Abbey Heights Oakmere Housing Estate and then failing to carry out the work.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Police are investigating seven reports of fraud in the area of Freestone Way and Lancet Drive in Barrow in which payment has been made for landscape services from residents which has not been done.
"Officers are also liaising with Trading Standards and inquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made."
