A shop in Barrow has revealed the 'huge' amount that was raised through its own Dave Day fundraiser.

The team at Mobile Man created a series of commemorative bracelets in honour of Dave Myers, which were sold in the lead up to and on June 8 to coincide with the arrival of thousands of fans.

The business also gave 10% of its earnings from the day to charity to boost the final donation.

Operating from its base at Market Hall, the shop was at the very heart of the action, meaning the bracelets caught the eye of countless visitors.

On Saturday, the shop announced that, thanks to those efforts, a grand total of £1,510 was raised.

This money will be going to the two Dave Day charities, NSPCC Childline and The Institute of Cancer Research, which have since benefitted from over £100,000 from the main JustGiving page for the event.
