A CASE of animal cruelty has been reported to Cumbria Police after an incident that is believed to have taken place at McDonald's in Barrow.
Local bird rescue Bardsea Bird Sanctuary received a report that a man had allegedly killed a seagull when it tried to share his McDonald's.
The incident is reported to have happened on Wednesday (June 19) at the fast-food restaurant on Dalton Road.

Elisabeth Ashleigh, who runs Bardsea Bird Sanctuary, said: "We believe there is a woman who witnessed this take place.
"We are appealing for her and any other witnesses to come forward.
"Please feel free to message the Facebook page in confidence as we have reason to believe that a crime has been committed.
"This incident occurred some time in the late afternoon. The crime log is 235 of 19th June."
A Cumbria Police spokesman confirmed it had received a third-party report of cruelty towards a bird at 6:48pm on June 19.
