A MAN who banged on the door of a woman he was banned from seeing has been convicted of breaching a restraining order.
Carl Ward was charged with harassing the victim by breaching a restraining order handed down in 2013.
The 32-year-old was said to have attended the woman's Walney home on June 10 before banging on the door and window and screaming her name.
According to court papers, he committed the offence shortly after being released from prison.
Ward, of no fixed abode, admitted breaching the restraining order when he appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
The defendant was remanded in custody and had his case sent to a crown court for sentencing.
He is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on July 24.
