Police said they have seen a recent increase in moped-related incidents.
South Lakes Police reported a recent increase in incidents relating to mopeds in the last few days.
The force is encouraging moped owners to review their security.
A spokesperson for South Lakes Police said: "Mopeds are often targeted for theft as they are easy to manoeuvre, can have only basic security mechanisms and are often easily accessible.
"We are encouraging any moped owners to #take2 to review their security. Is your moped secured with a locking mechanism? Is it stored in a secure yard or shed? Does it have a tracking device fitted?
"If you would like to discuss how best you can secure your property please contact your local neighbourhood policing team"
