A CAR that had been left in the Tesco Extra car park in Barrow for 'over a year' has finally been removed.
Shopper Pauline Kelly took a video of the Vauxhall being removed from the store in Cornerhouse Park on June 5. This then circulated around social media - with many saying that the car had been parked there for a long period of time.
"I believe it has been there for over a year but I am only going off what others have said. I know it had been clamped for a couple of weeks prior to it being lifted," Pauline said.
The vehicle has been untaxed since November 1, 2021, and its last MOT expired on March 7, 2023.
This publication approached Tesco for comment. The supermarket chain confirmed that the abandoned vehicle had been removed and it was not parked in a family space.
