PUPILS at a Dalton school remembered D-Day with weekly activities.

Dalton St Mary's students spent last week focused on the topic of the 80 years of D-Day.

Cleo, Conor, Olivia and Oliver from Year Six at Dalton St. Mary's said: "This anniversary is very important to us at Dalton St Marys because we all acknowledge the fact that there will not be many soldiers left to tell their story of their experiences living through World War Two, for much longer."

To remember this day, pupils at Dalton St Mary's celebrated by writing poems, creating fact files and painting.

They also dedicated a collective worship to this important time.

"We most importantly paid our respects to the soldiers, dead or alive," concluded the pupils.
