NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two Furness establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Dodona Sandwich Bar at 184 Dalton Road, in Barrow, was rated five on May 13 by a local food inspector from Westmorland and Furness authority.
Also rated 5 was Dalton RLFC, at Ulverston Road, in Dalton. The establishment was rated on April 30 by the local inspector.
The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage was found to be in a 'Good' standard.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control were also in a 'Good' standard.
The management of food safety was found to be of a 'Very good' standard.
