A woman had to be rescued from a Millom shore yesterday (May 26) after she was knocked over by her dog.
Millom Coastguard and Rescue Team were paged around 9:25pm by Holyhead Coastguard after a woman suffered a dislocated knee on the foreshore at Haverigg.
The woman was out with her husband exercising their dogs when one of the dogs knocked her over causing the painful injury.
A spokesperson for Millom Coastguard Rescue Team said: "The casualty was recovered by the team, with assistance from Haverigg Inshore Rescue Team, and handed over to care of NW Ambulance Servce.
Team Stood down at 23.15. We wish her a speedy recovery."
