WINDERMERE school teachers affiliated with NASUWT - The Teachers' Union will take two days of strike action this week.

The union announced the teachers will down tools tomorrow and on Thursday (22-23 May) over changes to their contracts regarding their pensions. The day and boarding school charges up to £40,000 per year for students.

NASUWT said further days of strike action are planned for June 5-6 if a resolution cannot be found. The general secretary of the union Dr Patrick Roach will join teachers on the picket line, which will be on the school's senior campus, from 7.30am to 8.45am on Thursday.

Last month NASUWT and National Education Union (NEU) Windermere School teachers had their first round of strikes over the pension dispute.
