Mobile phone users in Dalton have reported problems with their signal for over a week.

The owners of the Clarence pub said the disruption in communication is causing chaos in terms of its deliveries with some being missed. 

They reported that all mobile phone networks, apart from EE, appear to be down. 

02 network has recently issued an update to the customers in the LA15 8HY postcode to say it is carrying out some upgrade work in the area to keep the network 'ticking along nicely however sometimes, this can take longer than expected.'

Councillor for Dalton South Dave Taylor said: "As far as I am aware there is an issue with the mast and ongoing work carried out to rectify the problem.

"This is expected to be resolved by Friday 17th May."

02 also confirmed this date with normal service set to resume around 5pm.
