The team behind the 'Keswick to Barrow' and 'Coniston to Barrow' events were left 'emotional' after a successful weekend.

On Saturday, May 11, nearly 3,000 people took part in the 40 mile challenge to raise thousands of pounds for various charities and beneficiaries.

One such organisation that is going to massively benefit from the large crowds is Hawcoat Park, which served as the finish line at the end of the two routes.

A spokesperson from the club said: "[I've] got to admit, I'm a bit emotional typing this - what a K2B that was!

"Our brilliant volunteers, the walkers and runners, the K2B committee and volunteers, our amazing team and those suppliers that made the day so fantastic - thank you so much.

"As a non for profit organisation, all the money made goes into improving our club."
