'Party for Palestine' will be at Barrow Underground Music Society on Carlisle Street.

Furness Multicultural Forum will host food tasting workshops throughout the day, providing dishes from around the world. There will also be art and craft workshops 'to channel your inspiration into meaningful expressions of solidarity with Palestine.'

Live bands and DJs will play for 2pm until 11.30pm. The flyer states that entry is free, with a suggested donation of £5.

According to their website, Medical Aid for Palestinians 'provide access to essential health services and build local knowledge and skills to address Palestinian health problems.'

It is also 'committed to bearing witness to the injustices caused by occupation, displacement and conflict.'

Israeli forces moved into Gaza after a Hamas attack on October 7 in which 1,200 people died and 250 were abducted, of which Hamas is believed to still be holding around 100 hostages and the remains of 30 others after many of the rest were released during a ceasefire in November.

The war has killed over 34,700 Palestinians, according to Gaza health officials.
