Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once their cats are ready to find a new family, they can be advertised for adoption.

Meet the lovely felines currently looking for their forever homes…

VERA is a female cat with tortoise markings, age five years and six months.

The Mail:

She hasn’t had the best start to life and would like an understanding owner who will give her plenty of time to settle in.

Although she can be a bit timid to begin with, Vera can be quite loving when she knows you better.

Vera doesn’t seem to like other cats or dogs so she would like a home where she is the only pet, but she could possibly live with older children over ten years old.

CLOUSEAU is a white and black coloured male cat, estimated to be around 18 months old.

The Mail:

This ‘handsome boy’ is looking for an understanding new owner who will help him build his confidence.

Initially, Clouseau can be very reserved, but will soon be won around with food, and will reward you with lots of cuddles when he trusts you.

He would also love to find a family with older, secondary school age children.

GASTON is a tabby and white coloured male cat, estimated to be around nine years old.

The Mail:

He is looking for a very understanding, ‘extra special’ owner who can help build his confidence.

Gaston had an entropion surgery, an operation to correct his eyelid, whilst in the care of Animal Rescue Cumbria, but they said it has healed ‘very well’ and that the vets are ‘very happy’ with his progress.

Although little is known about Gaston’s past, the charity believe he has had a rough start.

He can be timid when meeting people for the first time but opens up into a ‘sweet boy’ once he gets to know you.

Gaston would like to find a quiet home where there are no children, and he can be the only pet.

LOKI & HELA are a male and female pair of semi-long haired cats, who are both 18 months old.

The Mail:

This ‘sweet pair’ are looking for a new indoor home together.

They have always been house cats and would be best suited to living with children no younger than secondary school age.

While they can be a little reserved initially, they are both looking forward to finding a home with a secure catio to explore.

If you think you could offer any of these beautiful cats the forever home they deserve, please fill out an adoption enquiry form for Animal Rescue Cumbria.

Include as much information about yourself, your experience and your previous pets, as possible.
