One business in Barrow has been using the past month to help autistic people more than ever.

Wakey Makey specialises in creating sensory fidgets for people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and anxiety.

For the entirety of April, the owners donated 20% of every fidget purchase to Autus Cumbria to help fund the work they do in the local community.

This was a part of Autism Awareness Month, which is designed to further highlight the issues affecting people with ASD and their families.

The month also tries to educate the public on support services, as well as celebrating and destigmatising the perspectives of those living with ASD.

Wakey Makey's products include fidget spinners, resin fidgets, pocket sliders, infinity cubes and 3D-printed items.

Whilst Autism Awareness Month might be at an end, you can still make your purchases by messaging the shop via their Facebook page.
