FORMER City winger Abo Eisa is looking for a new club again after being released by Grimsby.

Eisa was one of 11 players let go by Mariners boss David Artell following the club’s struggling season.

The 28-year-old joined Grimsby last summer after an injury-ravaged spell at Valley Parade.

Eisa began with a bang, scoring five goals in a six-game period including a couple of spectacular long-range efforts.

But he fell out of favour as the season went on and did not start again after a 1-0 win against MK Dons on March 12.

Another ex-Bantams winger, Jordan Gibson, has also left relegated Carlisle.

Gibson was among eight released by the Cumbrians after they came straight back down from League One. He finished top scorer with nine goals, including a hat-trick against Bolton.

Writing on social media, Gibson said: "Unfortunately this season has been a real low and disappointment throughout and I apologise for playing my part in that.

"It's been an extremely challenging time off the pitch for me too, trying to balance everything going on in my life, but my commitment to the club remained.

"Many people have questioned my attitude in this period without understanding the difficulties I've faced and playing through various situations whether that be personal or niggles to make myself (available) for every possible game I've been here and contribute as much as I could."

City are expected to announce their retained list shortly.
