A HIKER was hospitalised after being trampled on by cows during a walk in the Lake District.
The woman had been walking on Wansfell on Thursday 25 April, according to Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team.
A spokesperson from the team said: "She sustained a few different injuries and after treatment by us, she was taken to hospital by the North West Air Ambulance for further attention."

This was the first of four rescues in three days for the team. Later that day someone broke a hip after 'taking a tumble' near Stockghyll waterfalls.
Another call-out on 25 April involved the team looking for a couple who had split up during a descent of Scafell, but they later reported being reunited and safe.
On Saturday, April 27, a climber was injured by falling rocks in White Ghyll, and was winched to safety by a coastguard helicopter.
