A SECTION of a road is set to close for council works.
A section of the U4078 in Millom will be closed while Cumberland Council works are carried out.
The order in effect prohibits any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U4078, The Hill, from approximately 60m southeast of its junction with the A5093, extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 20m.
This is anticipated to start on April 15 and take up to two days to complete.
The road will be closed between 8am and 4pm daily.
An alternative route can be found via the unrestricted sections of the U4078 and A5093.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
