In his honour, the Walney Yellows under-eights, the football team which his son plays for, is looking to raise £3,000 for The Brain Tumour Charity.

To support their efforts, the Furness Catholic Amateur Boxing Club will be hosting a circuit event on Saturday, May 11.

Ran by Paul Ryan Fitness, you can sign up to the event through a £5 minimum donation to the fundraiser.

The young footballers themselves will be taking part in a 12-hour game to raise money for the charity that supported Jimmy through his diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
