A LOCAL history society has produced a 3D model of a castle on private land with no public access.
Grade-I listed Millom Castle, where the old town began, has stood for centuries and is now part of a working farm, according to the society.
A spokesperson from Millom and District Local History Society said that traditionally it had been open to the public on certain heritage days but due to instability this is no longer possible.
The society has commissioned a specialist drone survey to produce a 3D image of the castle, after a grant from Cumberland and Westmorland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society, and with permission from Michael and Pauline Park.
Jan Bridget, from the society, said: "Come and have a look around the amazing remains of this Grade I 12th century building."
