BARROW Town Council will hold its first Annual Town Assembly to give electors a chance to have their say on issues they consider to be important to the town.
The assembly, which will be on Thursday, April 18, will involve the council explaining what it has been doing since its inception on May 4 last year.
A notice issued by Cllr Chris Altree, the mayor of Barrow, stated: "The Annual Town Assembly is a meeting of all the local government electors of the town. It is not a meeting of the Town Council. Anyone may attend but only registered electors of Barrow Town Council may vote."
The assembly will be in the Forum theatre in the Rydal Room. It will be on from 6-7pm.
This is the agenda:
- Welcome: Cllr. Chris Altree, Mayor of Barrow Town Council
- Apologies
- A Report on local policing matters:
- A report from Cllr. Paul Griffiths, Leader of Barrow Town Council
- Chairman’s Report: Cllr. Chris Altree
- Town Clerk Financial Report
- Questions and Comments: members of the public
