Three lovely pooches, currently in the care of Animal Rescue Cumbria, are ready for rehoming. Are you ready to meet them?

Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once a dog has been assessed by the animal care team, they can be advertised for adoption.

These beautiful dogs are ready to find their forever families…

CARTER is around four and a half months old, he is a Border Collie crossed with a Labrador.

The Mail:

He is described as a ‘beautiful, bouncing pup’ who is ‘very friendly’ and ‘loving’.

Because he is so young, it is important that Carter finds a family who can continue his basic training.

This energetic little boy is looking for an active family who can be consistent with his training and take him along on adventures.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said he ‘loves’ people and all of the dogs he’s met so he could live with other pets in the home, if introduced correctly.

Carter could live with school-aged children but will need a secure garden to explore in.

LOUIE the black Labrador is ten years and four months old.

The Mail:

This ‘sweet and gentle boy’ is searching for a cosy retirement home and a new family who will be around lots of the time.

Louie would prefer a quiet home but wouldn’t mind calm children visiting.

He would enjoy living in a rural home where there is a garden to explore, and has previously lived with other calm dogs, so would enjoys the company of a steady female dog.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said: “Louie enjoys his walks where he can potter, He is arthritic on his front legs so will need an understanding owner who can continue joint supplements and pain relief.”

LENNARD the Cockerpoo is just 22 weeks old.

The Mail:

He is looking for an extra special forever home, where there are no children and experienced owners who can continue his training.

Lennard is looking for a home with other dogs, as he is very good with others and enjoys their company.

This high energy pup would love to find a home with a secure garden to play in!

Animal Rescue Cumbria said: “Lennard needs a home with understanding and experienced owners as he shows resource guarding behaviours. He has been in foster whilst in our care and is making progress on his training, which will need to be continued in his new home.”
