A popular café that is relocating from Barrow market has announced its official opening date.
The business, which used to be Mammy's Café and Takeaway, is re-locating to a bustling new location at 31 Portland Walk under the name Dapper Delights.
It was deemed by Mail readers in 2018 as providing the best full English breakfasts in the town.
The café chose not to move to the new Barrow Market location and will be filling the empty unit opposite WHSmith where Sally Hair and Beauty used to be
The café will be opening on Tuesday April 9 close to BAE's Careers Inspiration Hub at the Portland Walk Campus - the centre of the town centre regeneration project.
The establishment promises to have a bigger seating area with extras added to the menu.
Owners Jen Kenderdine and Sue Walker are currently working on a brand-new blue colour scheme.
BAE will be recruiting almost 1,000 apprentices and graduates to join Barrow shipyard in 2024 and the vacant sites in the area are currently being transformed into vibrant new spaces.
The aim is to provide the local community with education, outreach and recruitment services.
